WPENA will hold four Board Meetings and six General Meetings in 2024. WPENA Members are encouraged to attend General Meetings either in person or via Zoom to stay up to date and informed on upcoming community events, issues, and projects.

Denver Public School Board members Kimberlee Sia(District 1 member and Board Treasurer) and Scott Esserman (At Large member)will be featured at our January 14 WPENA General Meeting. Kimberlee and Scott will discuss the recently announced school closures and the potential for future closures, DPS financial situation, student performance impact resulting from COVID, and school security and safety for students and staff. They will also answer questions from attendees regarding Denver Public Schools. Plan to attend this important meeting to learn more about the state of our very important asset our public schools.

The Washington Park East Neighborhood Association (WPENA) is the official neighborhood association with the City and County of Denver for residents residing on the east side of Washington Park.
